Katherine's dance teaching draws from her robust training in contemporary and modern dance practices and brings in elements of her acro and conditioning classes. Katherine works with dancers to build technique from the ground up as well as support them in developing their own artistry, awareness and connection with their bodies. Katherine's classes incorporate traditional modern and contemporary dance technique with a strong focus on moving in and out of the floor and challenging our bodies physical range. Katherine brings in elements of improvisation, social dance and play into classes to encourage dancers to explore new movement pathways and connect with the world around them.
Julia's classes offer the opportunity to tune into body sensations as well as to activate a communal space. Dancing mostly to music, we will condition our bodies to be ready. Ready to invert, move, yield, deliver weight, and respond to the moment.
